SatLink VSATs

The SatLink product line includes two VSAT Indoor Unit (IDU) options, plus Ku-band transceivers for the Outdoor Unit (ODU). They are fully compliant with the DVB-RCS standard and each IDU is certified by SatLabs (www.satlabs.org). Both IDUs support DVB-S and DVB-S2 Forward Links, have the same symbol rates and FEC options on Forward and Return Links, and are based on the same core hardware architecture, offering the industry leading bandwidth efficiency, advanced QoS, traffic engineering and other extensive software features. The SatLink 1000 is the leading DVB-RCS certified VSAT IDU in the market with the price-performance and high-volume production required for mass-market broadband Internet access services. It is targeted to small business and residential applications, or any business application with a star-topology and moderate performance requirements.

The SatLink 1910 is the leading high-performance DVB-RCS certified VSAT IDU in the market. It is rack-mountable with an integrated power supply. It has added hardware processing power and memory for superior IP through-put and/or running several value-added software options concurrently. It also offers a hardware expansion slot for accessory cards enabling upgrades to advanced hardware-based features, such as: mesh networking, Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM).

The SatLink 1910 Maritime VSAT provides the advanced capabilities required for marine operation, including global roaming with access to 10 different beams for continuous two-way satellite communications. Internet access, Voice over IP, GSM over IP, and video conferencing are common applications of its powerful broadband-at-sea features.

All SatLink VSAT IDUs connect to user networks via industry standard 10/100 Ethernet ports, provide integrated power for the Outdoor Unit, and support both local and remote management options via standard protocols. Ku-Band, C-Band, Ka-Band, and other bands are supported by the SatLink VSAT IDUs, as are a variety of antenna options.

The SatLink 4000 family of transceivers are the first DVB-RCS compliant and fully integrated transmitter, receiver and OMT for Ku-Band VSATs, providing 2 and 3 Watt options with control from the SatLink IDU.
